Elliott Murphy: Aquashow (1973) + Lost Generation (1975)

After stars like Paul Collins, John Eddie, Ian Matthews or Nick Gilder, in my blog couldn't lack one of the greatest Singer-Songwriters of all times. As brilliant as profilic Elliott Murphy is a living history of the rock.
"More then thirty-five years have passed since the release of Elliott Murphy's ground-breaking first album Aquashow in 1973 (recently declared an Album Classic by the UK's prestigious UNCUT magazine) and since that time Elliott Murphy, singer-songwriter, rock troubadour, indefatigable road warrior (over 100 shows a year!) and prolific author of fiction has once again proven his dedication to his music and his commitment to his growing legion of fans... (All Music Guide)". (Read more)

Tremendous! These must be European releases, right? I haven't seen CD releases of these two albums in the USA, although I do have a CD compilation of Murphy that came out many years ago. That one included most of "Aquashow" and a bunch of subsequent stuff. Boy, I remember when "Aquashow" first came out in the early seventies, and how Murphy was tagged as the "next big thing". It seemed that everyone was looking for the next big thing back then. I played "Aquashow" over and over and over. "Poise 'n' Pen" and "Last of the Rock Stars" are so very good. Thanks for these posts, and for your others, too!
